The top stations of the Penken and Ahorn cable cars are also ideal starting points for numerous mountain hikes and walks.
The Zillertal Alps are characterised by unique flora and fauna. Rare animal and plant species can be spotted whilst out and about on walks, with brightly coloured flowers such as the alpine gentian and arnica as well as the occasional orchid providing a real treat for nature lovers.
